Project
In this project, I created a weather app for mobile devices. For the app, I designed two main screens, an overview screen and another screen with more detail for today's weather. I also created a new logo, found icons, and created a grid structure for this app. I sketched the app out by hand before creating high fidelity mockups. The application I used to assemble the graphics is Sketch. This also allowed me to prototype the design while using a cell phone to see the functionality of my designs.
Conclusion
What I learned with this project was a better understanding of Sketch and the interaction tools that are available within the app. I also learned the importance of Sketch’s design ideas and moving those designs to a higher fidelity format for visual purposes. It was great to use the interactive tools to see the whole design come together at the end..
